Organization Development and Transformation Application

The Sherling Animal Welfare Fund was started by Errol (Mike) and Dorothy Sherling to provide an ongoing funding source for the care of animals. The fund soon caught the attention of other animal lovers and has grown to nearly half a million dollars.

This unique donor-directed fund accepts applications from registered charitable organizations with a mandate of caring for animals and finding new loving homes for each adoptable animal. The proposals considered will be for "special projects that directly benefit animals in our community." The initiatives can be capital projects, animal or public education programs, or services for animals brought to a shelter.
