
Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund
Doc Seaman has been described as a hero, icon, pioneer, philanthropist, visionary and legend. On the list of his many achievements, he was an original owner of the Calgary Flames and was instrumental in bringing them to Calgary in 1980. Doc’s love for hockey and sports, and his dedication to community will leave a lasting legacy for years to come.
In accordance of the Will of Daryl K Seaman, the purpose of grants from the Daryl K Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund is to support

all aspects of amateur ice hockey in Canada on a nation-wide basis;

registered Canadian amateur athletic associations; and
-
other general charitable purposes as the Board of Directors of The Calgary Foundation shall determine.

Organization Development and Transformation Grants (ODT)
ODT grants provide assistance to organizations who are in a period of transition, with their move toward long term sustainability.This includes but is not limited to:
- Supporting re-organization during and after leadership change
- Supporting communications, strategic, human resource or business planning
- Supporting Board development
- Supporting small feasibility studies or evaluations
- Supporting facilitation to explore and plan for shared services, collaborations, and mergers
