As a catalyst for positive action, The Calgary Foundation established the
Forever Funds initiative to support emerging needs that require increased
leadership and funding in the Calgary and surrounding area. The five endowment funds established to address future needs are:
The Diversity and Inclusion Fund
-
Supports valuing all people equally and treating all people with respect.
The Arts and Heritage Fund
-
Supports and celebrates creativity and history, interpreting the past and forging links to contemporary discussions.
The Seniors Fund
-
Supports enriching the lives of seniors and learning from their experience and expertise.
The Environment Fund
-
Supports the protection, preservation, enhancement and restoration of the physical environment.
The Mental Health Fund
-
Supports the study, research and treatment of mental, nervous and emotional disorders.
Forever Funds consists of a number of collaborative elements. TCF has identified two Visionaries within each sector and one over-arching Ambassador that, along with other community innovators, will hold discussions to identify and support a signature project in each area that will make a lasting impact and encourage civic engagement in the community.
