In its role as catalyst for positive change, The Calgary Foundation - by applying its resources, expertise and leadership, and through working in partnership with others to identify and address community needs, secured the funding for a significant initiative - Harvie Passage - involving the redevelopment of the dangerous weir.

The Campus Calgary Program is a collaboration among business, community and education partners that is committed primarily to student learning within and beyond the four walls of the classroom. Teachers participating in the program have the opportunity to move their classroom to one of six sites for an entire week.
The week is a catalyst for a long-term interdisciplinary study at school and promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills for students, teachers, parents and community organizations as they interact with the real world.
