Calgary's Vital Signs

How do we measure up?

Vital Signs is an annual community check-up conducted by community foundations across Canada that measures the vitality of our communities, identifies significant trends, and assigns grades in a range of areas critical to quality of life. Vital Signs is coordinated nationally by Community Foundations of Canada

Marking the tenth anniversary of its launch in 2016, Calgary’s Vital Signs® is an annual check-up that measures the vitality of Calgary, identifies significant trends and assigns grades in areas critical to the quality of life in Calgary.

Thank you to all who had their say in the 2016 Calgary’s Vital Signs® survey. Watch for the full 2016 Calgary's Vital Signs Report when it is released on October 4th.

The Calgary Foundation launched Calgary's Vital Signs® in 2007 to:

  • increase the effectiveness of the Foundation's grantmaking
  • better inform our donors about issues and opportunities
  • spark discussion, encourage connections and inspire action
